What is PrivacyMatters.com?

PrivacyMatters.com is a portal website dedicated to making it as easy as possible for you to manage your credit information and protect yourself from the threat of identity theft. We do this by providing you one, central location that you may visit time and again for all your credit needs. Our Learning Center provides you easy-to-understand explanations of common credit-related topics, while our Credit Tools let you play "what if" scenarios as you make decisions about your finances, and our News Alerts keep you up-to-date on the latest news stories that relate to privacy and security.

Additionally, many consumers have chosen to join one of our credit monitoring and identity theft protection programs for access to benefits that make it even easier for them to manage their credit information and enjoy great peace of mind.

What will I receive if I join one of your programs?

Once you've joined one of our programs, you'll receive your personal Membership ID # that gives you unrestricted, online access to all of your program benefits. You'll also receive your program terms and conditions.

Is there a trial membership period? How does it work?

Upon enrolling, you may have a trial membership period during which you can use the program benefits as much as you'd like. If you find the service is not for you, you may cancel before the end of the trial period by calling 1-800-436-0817 and you won't be charged the membership fee.* If you wish to continue with your membership after the trial period, do nothing and the membership fee and terms you agreed to will be automatically charged to the billing source authorized by you.

All of this is clearly explained in your Offer Details when you sign up for any of our programs, and again when you received your Welcome Information.

* Online enrollees will be charged a $1.00 processing fee, in accordance with the agreed-upon enrollment terms.

How do I access these benefits?

To access your benefits, simply log in to your program website. You'll need your Membership ID number and ZIP Code to log in.

What do I do if I forget my Membership ID number?

Simply visit the Contact Us page to send us an e-mail or to find our toll-free phone number. If sending an e-mail, be sure to include the name of the program you belong to, along with your name and address.

Can I cancel my program if I decide it's not for me?

Absolutely. You have the right to cancel your membership at any time. There is never an obligation to remain a member. Your method of cancellation is fully explained in the Offer Details that you must agree to when joining the program and again in your Welcome Information. And of course, if you ever have a question about your membership, you may call the toll-free Member Savings phone number we provide you.

Can I cancel parts of my program benefits?

No, each program is a complete package of benefits designed to work together to assist our members. Unfortunately, we cannot separate out specific benefits from the total package.

How do I change my address on file?

Once you've logged in to your program website, simply visit our Contact Us page to send an e-mail, or call Member Savings toll-free. If sending an e-mail, be sure to include your name, membership ID number, old address and new address for the address change.

Is the PrivacyMatters.com website secure?

Yes. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to protect your credit card information from unauthorized access. When you place an order online and provide required credit card information, the SSL scrambles or encrypts your information before it is sent to us over the Internet. This protects your credit card information from being read while it is transferred through cyberspace. When we receive your order, the information is kept encrypted until we are ready to process your request. In addition, we meet all of the stringent requirements of the Verisign™ security seal for all online transactions.
